Second CRM Mobile Guide

The Second CRM Mobile app enables Second CRM users to access data, manage daily activities, and more while away from their computers.

Second CRM Mobile app currently supports iPhone, iPad, Android phones & tablets, Windows 8.x phones and tablets, BlackBerry 10 devices and Tizen phones.

Registration & Login

If this is your first time using Second CRM on mobile, you will need to register your account before you can use the app..

Use the following steps to register:

  1. To go to the Second CRM mobile app, type this URL in your mobile browser: https://aw.secondcrm.com/mobile.

  2. At the top of login information box, tap the Register for free button.

  3. You will need the following pieces of information:

    • Second CRM URL: The URL of your instance. For example: https://aw.secondcrm.com/instanceName
    • Second CRM User ID: The username to access your instance.
    • Second CRM Password: The password to access your instance.
    • Name: Your own name.
    • Email: Your own email ID for Second CRM to send you a confirmation email.

  4. Enter your Second CRM URL, Second CRM User ID, Second CRM Password, Name and Email. Then, tap Sign Up to create an account. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

  5. The confirmation email will appear as below. You will need your unique Second CRM URL, User ID and Password to log in in the future.

Use the following steps to login into Second CRM:

  1. You will need the following pieces of information to login into your instance using the Second CRM Mobile app:

    • Second CRM URL: The URL of your instance. For example: https://aw.secondcrm.com/instanceName
    • Second CRM User ID: The username to access your instance.
    • Second CRM Password: The password to access your instance.

  2. To login, go to Second CRM mobile app URL https://aw.secondcrm.com/mobile.

  3. Enter your Second CRM URL, Second CRM User ID, and Second CRM Password. Then, tap Login to access the application.

  4. After login, you will be shown a dashboard screen.

Dashboard & Views

Upon starting the Second CRM Mobile app, the Login screen will appear as shown in User Login section. After login, you will be shown a dashboard screen.

At your dashboard, you will see the list of modules which you can access within the Second CRM Mobile app. The list of modules available to you here depends on which edition of Second CRM you subscribe to (Sales, Support or Enterprise).

Please note that your ability to access the above modules may be restricted by your role. Check with your Second CRM administrator if you cannot access any of the above modules.

At the top of the page, you can see the logout button on the left and settings button on the right.

Each module in Second CRM has different types of views, namely the List View and Details View.

  • List View: List View is the part where you can see a brief list of all records you have in the application.
  • Detail View: Detail View is the part where you can see the detailed information of a particular record.

List View

In List View, you can see a brief list of all customers you have in the application, as well as information such as their Account name, phone number and email. All data will be sorted in alphabetical order.

Detail View

In Detail View, you can see the detailed information of particular accounts. To see an account in Detail View, tap on it in List View and the detail information will appear after that.

Related Records

Related Records provides user with the detailed history attached to a particular Account/Contact/Lead.

For example, if the user is at a client site and manages to arrange another meeting, they may quickly go to the respective lead/account and add the meeting as a new activity or event. This will record it in the account/lead history for future reference.

Create & Edit Record

Use the following steps to create a new record in Second CRM:

  1. To create any new record for a specific module, tap on the required module. For example, the Account module.

  2. Then, tap the + button at the top right of the page.

  3. Fill in the account name and tap Create to create the new account record. A pop-up message will appear informing you that your update was successful. Tap OK to close it.

    At this stage you will only be asked to enter mandatory fields. You can complete your record entry by adding additional information later.

  4. In the next page, you can key-in other information for the new record. Fields marked with an asterisk [ * ] are mandatory. Once done, tap Update to store your data in Second CRM. A pop-up message will appear informing you that your update was successful. Tap OK to close it.

  5. To view the created record, tap the Back button to go back to list view.

Related Records provides user with the detailed history attached to a particular Account/Contact/Lead.

For example, if the user is at a client site and manages to arrange another meeting, they may quickly go to the respective Account and add a new event.

  1. To do so, tap on the Account module and the list view of data will appear.

  2. Then, tap on the relevant record name. At the bottom, tap on Event.

  3. Click on the + symbol at the top right and key-in all relevant information.

  4. Once done, tap the Create button at the top right corner. A pop-up message will appear informing you that your update was successful. Tap OK to close it.

  5. On the next page, you may add or edit any detailed information regarding the Event. For example, changing the status of the event, as shown below.

  6. Once done, tap the Update button at the top right corner. A pop-up message will appear informing you that your update was successful. Tap OK to close it.
  7. Tap on the Back button to go back to the previous page. Now, you can see the Event already created under that particular record.

  8. From the related record, tap on the Back button to view the list view.

  9. In list view page, you can return to dashboard by tapping on the Module button at the top left.

Dropdown fields allow you to choose one value from a list of predefined options. For example, you want to add/edit the start date and status for an event.

To add/edit the value for the start date & time in a dropdown field, tap on the record field. A small pop-up will appear at the bottom of the page for you to select the desired date and status.

Then, tap Done to keep the new value. Tapping Cancel will return you to the page with a default value for the field. Once done, tap Update / Create at the top right corner. A pop-up message will appear informing you that your update was successful. Tap OK to close it.

To view and update the record, tap on any module in the dashboard. For example, the Potential module. At the top, tap the search box and begin typing the name of a record you wish to access.

Once the record appears, tap on record name to view the detail information.

You can edit the record by tapping the x icon to the right of the field to remove the value or you can tap on the record field to edit existing content. Once done, tap the Update button to keep the information.

From the detail view, tap on the Back button to view the list view.

Settings

At your dashboard, you can see the    icon at the top right corner. Tap the icon to edit the settings. In this settings module, you can update your profile and select the modules that you wish to see in your dashboard.

Your user profile is available for viewing and editing. To edit the field, just tap on the field or tap the x icon to the right of the field to remove the value or tap on the record field to edit existing content. Once done, tap the Update button to keep the information.

Username and instance URL cannot be modified. If you need to change it, you will have to register as a new user.


To choose the module that you wish to see in your dashboard, tap on My Preferences, next to Update Profile.

Tap on the tick icon on the right as shown below to see the module in dashboard. Once finish, tap Save.
